Welcome to Hollywood! What’s your dream?

It seems ironic to start this month’s theme on goals by confessing I’m behind plan. And that’s OK. Life happens. An 18th Birthday to celebrate and a funeral for reflection took 3 days out of my working week. But family time is an important time. This is the time we…

It seems ironic to start this month’s theme on goals by confessing I’m behind plan.

And that’s OK.

Life happens.

An 18th Birthday to celebrate and a funeral for reflection took 3 days out of my working week.

But family time is an important time.

This is the time we don’t get back.

And the time when memories are made.

With regards to our plans, it’s how we manage that, bounce back, and get back on track.

The events of this week seem quite appropriate when considering our goals.

On the one hand at 18 life is about dreams, goals, and the future.

At the other end of the spectrum in death, what will people remember you for, and as importantly what do you want to be remembered for?

As children, we are great dreamers, and then at some point, we are told not to dream and/or waste our time daydreaming.

The reality.

You are never too old to dream.

When I think about dreams, I think about the line at the end of Pretty Woman,

“Welcome to Hollywood! What’s your dream? Everybody comes here; this is Hollywood, land of dreams. Some dreams come true, some don’t, but keep on dreamin’ – this is Hollywood.”

So, what’s your dream?

And why am I talking about dreams in June?

Surely that’s a December or January thing, right?

Wrong!

That way of thinking is a slippery road to procrastination and staying stuck.

Why do all diets, new gym workouts, etc., always start on a Monday?

Because we condition ourselves to think that way or be led that way by what we read or hear.

It’s total B.S.

Start today, right now, what’s stopping you?

Apart from you.

Ask yourself ‘How much do you want it?’

Whatever that thing is.

How much do you want it enough, to start it today!

If you are sat on the fence about it, ask yourself these questions:

💡What’s your highest priority in this lifetime?

💡Is this your dream, or someone else’s?

💡Are you settling for less than?

💡What will you feel like when you achieve your dream?

💡What steps can you take today toward your dream?

💡Are you telling yourself: ‘I can’t have my dream?’

Coaching flows from your Goal and quite often your Personal Goals will come from your dreams..

Coaching can help you get there

As the Hawaiian Kahuna says, ‘Where your creative attention flows, so flows your life.’

Most people don’t believe they can live their dream. Either their belief system has them believing they can’t make a living doing what they love, or they feel they don’t deserve their dream.

To avoid the pain of feeling they can’t have their dream, people often keep their dream so buried they can’t remember they ever had a dream.

Everyone has a dream.

And everyone is destined to fulfil that purpose.

Why wait?
