Connect ➡️ Chat ➡️ Coffee

I’m grateful to have made a lot of new connections here on LinkedIn during 2022 and that hasn’t slowed down this year either.

If you’ve reached out thank you.

If you accepted my own connection request, then thank you.

Increasingly I see a lot of posts here on LinkedIn where people are complaining about being sold to, especially when it’s the first contact that you get from someone.

I’ve written similar posts myself.

Complaining.

But on reflection, I have to my hand up and say I’ve probably been a ‘bit pushy’ on occasions myself too.

So, I’ve decided to adopt a different approach.

Because coaching is not about selling.

So, here’s my change.

If we’re connected, then let’s chat and get to know each other.

If you’d like to connect

No other agenda, just that.

I’m curious to know about you and what you do.

So, using InMail, over the next few days, weeks, and months, you will see a message from me asking if you’d like to meet for a virtual coffee, sorry that I’m not going to be able to provide snacks…

I’ll also provide you with a link so we can meet at a time convenient for both of us.

If you’d prefer not to, then just let me know.

I’ll also put the link in the comments below if you’d like to get started before I got to you!

Let’s get back to old-fashioned talking and building relationships rather than just being another connection.

I hope that we get to talk soon.
